Last Day Of Work

Today marks the day that I officially become a jobless Hick, preparing for months of world wandering. Morty and his blog will be walking the first part of my globe trek alongside me.
We will be flying to the USA first up and heading to the East coast to stay in the famous Hotel Chelsea in Chelsea on Manhattan Island, New York. The Chelsea has long been a dream of mine ever since reading the infamous book, Chelsea Horror Hotel by the late, Dee Dee Ramone. His twisted tales behind the doors of this world famous hotel has my excitement bouncing around within my skeleton. The stories of chaos, the guitar shop and songs written by David Bowie all ringing hard in my ears. For months (As most of you would know) I have been drawing a triangle pattern on the inside of my left wrist as a symbol of stability, which I now plan to get tattooed in the Chelsea Hotel Tattoo parlour downstairs before we head off to Washington, as our plans fade in New York City.
This is pretty much where our plans dry up, as we haven't quite figured out what we're going to do in South America, nor have we really planned anything for the rest of the USA leg of the trip. This behaviour is evidence of the nomadic lifestyle that we are prescribing to. Monday (Jan 31st, 2011) is the final discussions we will have to settle any ideas for the next 2-3 weeks of adventure. Time is playing it's cards.
